Onesta - Pizza Paradise!

"I asked for Pizza, not your opinion" :D
Very few people in the world dont love pizza, its everyone's comfort food after all. Bengaluru has a number of pizza outlets and Onesta became everyone's favorite pizza joint within a few months of their launch in Koramanagala. Beautifully decorated interiors, lip smacking pizzas and courteous service is what attracted almost all age groups to enjoy their food!
Just yesterday, they launched their new outlet in none other that Indiranagar! Location wise it's one of the best choices, it's situated near the old puma showroom in indiranagar, so if you're coming from Sony signal take a right from KFC signal, about 200 meters after you'll see the outlet. And what's best? It's a rooftop!
I was invited here for the launch with a couple of other foodies and I couldn't stop admiring the pretty interiors for the entire evening. It's way bigger than the Koramangala outlet with pretty flowers pots decorated on the walls, light bulbs dangling from the ceiling and a soothing overall ambiance. The seating arrangements are rustic brown furniture, comfortable and perfect to enjoy your pizza!

We ordered all the varieties of starters available on the menu and a few mojito/fizz to go along
Chicken in Barbeque sauce - loved the preparation, authentic Barbeque sauce flavour and juicy chicken.
Fish with tartar dip - Crispy fried fish fingers with a creamy tartar dip, perfect snack. Love the way the fish was cooked.
Potato wedges and French fries came with a slight drizzle of mayo sauce sprinkled with herbs, I didn't like the Mayo taste but overall it was cooked well.
Sun dried tomato bruschetta and broccoli cheese bruschetta were something which the vegetarians loved!
All the drinks were soda based and very refreshing. A special mention to the orange and mint cooler, I loved it!
Coming to the pizzas, we ordered
Wasabi mayo chicken - a bit dry for my taste, I expected Mayo to be oozing out but there was no sign of Mayo, I didn't like it.
Chicken with pineapples n jalapeño - my favourite amongst all, melting cheese and the pineapple with jalapeño tastes so good!
Bulls eye - running egg yolk on a pizza, specialityn of Onesta and tastes good too.
Margherita - plain cheese pizza.
3 cheese mushroom - cheesy pizza topped with basil and mushroom. Too good!
Mexican veggie - most colourful pizza with veggies on a bed of cheese. Tastes good.
Sweet corn - seemed a little dry to me but taste wise is fine.
Prawn pesto - big juice prawn cooked in a spicy marinade, the base of pizza has pesto. I felt the pesto was a tad bit too much, but the combination was unique.

There was a lamb lasagne, which was cheesy with minced lamb accompanied with garlic bread and fresh veggies. A good dish but the lamb stuffing lacked spice, though the lasagna was cooked to perfection with generous amount of cheese.

Onesta is also known for their variety of desserts which are tiny in size but so yummy! We tried all the desserts available on their menu. I don't quite remember all their names, there was caramel walnut tart, fresh fruit cake, chocolate cake, coffee mousse, chocolate mousse, strawberry with cream, lemon mousse, Black Forest pudding and tiramisu. Others I don't quite remember the names!
My personal favourites were the fruit cake and the walnut tart, tiny yet so yummy and well made. The presentation of all the desserts are too cute.

Pricing is extremely justified according to the portion and the quality of pizzas. Some people might feel that the service is slightly slow but that's only because they prepare everything fresh on orders. All the breads are prepared fresh and no wonder they taste so good with that garlic butter! Mmm!
Overall, we had a wonderful evening especially because of the beautiful set up and the rooftop ambience. The staff was extremely courteous and all you Onesta lovers there's a new location you can go and eat those unlimited pizzas!

Disco Barbeque with Bappi Da!

Barbeque Nation is one of the most loved food joints by food lovers. They are known for serving the besr barbeques in town and each and every person leaves with a happy tummy! So, I was lucky enough to be a part of their new launch in Bangalore with the legendary Bappi Lahiri!
I had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of this exciting event along with a bunch of foodie friends and what an eventful afternoon it was! Barbeque nation opens is 8th outlet in Bangalore in the West Gate Mall Rajajinagar which is close to Fairfield Marriott. A nicely decorated and classic ambience of Barbeque nation, all decked with flowers on its launch day. The disco King himself was present and told us about how he loves indulging in Barbeque nation food, who doesn't after all!
I'll start off with the food details now.
We were served starters on the grill both veg and non veg had lot of varieties.
There was chicken, prawns, fish, mutton seekh and tangdi kebab for non veg.
Crispy corn, paneer tikka, veg cutlet, mushrooms, corn on cob and my favourite Cajun spiced potatoes for veg.
I've been to Barbeque nation many times and I love their starters variety. Special mention to the tangdi kebab, so yummy and the marination used has authentic spicy North Indian tadka to it! The prawns are juicy, the paneer used is soft and fresh. Love the mushrooms and crispy corn which have a chat pata taste! Corn on cob could be better in terms of marination used. The fish is great, although I'm not a fan of fish but I quite like the spices used in this.
For main course, there was an array of salads, a live pasta counter, varieties of North Indian and oriental dish choices. My favourites are the noodles with hot bean sauce and chicken biryani! The salads are prepared and presented very well too! I got a red sauce pasta made and it was saucy, tangy and absolutely delish.
And the best part - Desserts. They had many varieties but unfortunately none of them were my favourites. There was lemon bar, Phirnee, brownies, mix fruit pastry, Gulab jamun, cheesecake etc. I liked the brownie but then the kulfi counter stole my attention. They have multiple varieties of a kulfi and so many combinations to choose from. Chocolate, malai, mango, Paan, pista kulfi with toppings like falooda, gulkand, chocolate chips, sauces and what not. I had the famous Paan kulfi and I loved it! It's so fresh and the taste is just brilliant. It's a must try!
Barbeque nation is known for their food and service and all the waiters are happy to help. However, I did see a little irritation amongst the waiters that day but maybe that was cause of the rush of guests.
However, I had a wonderful experience and got to meet the Bappi Da and Rajajinagar now has a new haunt to satisfy all good food cravings!
